Dr. James Swanson retired after a prestigious 50 year career here in Pueblo.  He still stops at the office every day to say hello, to "keep everyone in line!" and give us a laugh and encouragement.

Dr. Jim Swanson is a proud graduate of St. Louis University Dental School, University of Colorado – Boulder, and the esteemed Pankey Dental Institute.

Dr. Swanson completed the rigorous Pankey curriculum early on in his career, and this shaped his style of practice more than anything else.  He is an expert at treating TMJ and occlusion-related issues, and provides the most thorough patient care restoratively.  Dr. Swanson’s passions include beautiful cosmetic dentistry and functional occlusion.  Dr. Jim loves to continue learning and has mentored hundreds of his dental colleagues during his career, including his daughter, Dr. Jamie Johnson.  He retired from private practice in 2019, and is continuing his legacy of education by teaching part-time at the Pueblo Community College Dental Hygiene program.
